◆ Things to Do Near Sugar Beach

Sugar Beach is located on the east end of Panama City Beach, offering convenient access to outdoor activities and local attractions. Guests can explore St. Andrews State Park for hiking, kayaking, and snorkeling, or take a shuttle to Shell Island for a more secluded beach experience. Family-friendly attractions, fishing charters, and water sports rentals are all just a short drive away.

◆ Dining Nearby

Several local favorites are close by. Schooners offers Gulf-front seafood and live music, while Captain Anderson's Restaurant and The Grand Marlin provide waterfront dining and fresh local catches. Casual beachfront cafés and family-friendly restaurants are also nearby.

◆ Pet Policy 

Pets are allowed at Sugar Beach only with owner consent and proper HOA registration, and this policy is strictly enforced. A maximum of two pets per unit is permitted, limited to dogs or cats only. All pets must be registered at the HOA office upon arrival, and a pet tag must be displayed on the pet at all times. Guests are required to provide proof of current vaccinations. Pets must remain leashed and under direct control at all times and may not be tied to fixtures or left unattended. Pets are allowed only in designated dog-walk areas.

Pets are not permitted in the pool or on the pool deck, inside the clubhouse, in the grill area, on the tennis courts, or in the pond or landscaped areas. Pets are also strictly prohibited on Sugar Beach and neighboring beaches in accordance with Florida law.

The following breeds, including any mixes, are not permitted: Akita, Chow, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd (including retired police or military dogs), Pit Bull, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terrier, Wolf Hybrid, or any other breed deemed vicious by the association’s insurance provider.

Pet fees are paid directly to the HOA at the time of registration. For one pet, the fee is $80 for stays of three days or less and $150 for stays of four days or more. For two pets, the fee is $120 for stays of three days or less and $200 for stays of four days or more. Failure to properly register a pet, display the required pet tag, or comply with any pet rules may result in fines, charges billed to the unit owner, removal of the pet from the property, or eviction from the premises.

A pet clean up fee of $50 per pet will be paid to UMB Vacations.

◆ Initial Supplies

UMB Vacations provides a starter set of essential items to help you settle in comfortably before your trip to the grocery store. These initial supplies include dishwasher detergent, a small packet of laundry detergent, and basic bathroom amenities (similar to hotel-size and not restocked), such as shampoo, conditioner, and a bar of soap. Each bathroom is stocked with one roll of toilet paper, and the kitchen includes one roll of paper towels. All bed linens and bath towels are provided for your stay. We recommend that guests bring their own beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

After booking, you will receive confirmation email with a link to your Guest Portal and a password/access code, where you’ll find all the important details about your stay: Payment details, check-in/out instructions, link to our support chat room, Interactive restaurant map and more.

◆ A UMB Vacations Rental Agreement & House Rules will be emailed shortly after booking.

The agreement must be reviewed and electronically signed prior to check-in. Door codes and arrival instructions will be sent between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM on the scheduled arrival date once the agreement has been completed.
